Center of the Year 2010

Oslo City in Norway is the Scandinavian Shopping Center of the Year 2010!

The Motivation of the Jury:
This is a center right in the middle of the city, with all what that imposes in form of restricted space, tear and wear. A tremendously professional management has been able to turn this 5 level shopping mall into a success. They really are on top of everything. Every square meter is being put to use in a fantastic way. The two top floors are constantly increasing their percentage of trade so the total turnover for the center reached an impressive 92 388 NOK per square meter in 2009. A recent refurbishment has taken this 22-year-old center into the 20 century giving it a welcoming and open atmosphere. A new marketing approach ”Oslo tør” has given it a personal profile easily recognized and cherished by the public. All this in combination with thorough investments and efforts  in environmental improvement has earned them this award. We wish you all the best also for the future.
